Spain is known for its fiestas. In fact it seems like during summer every weekend you are invited to another one ! The fiesta in our own village is near May 15th and goes on for two days. It’s to honour and celebrate the day of San Isidro, the protector of agriculture and, hence, very important for the people in our region. You can watch flamenco and classic Spanish dancing performed by groups and try a “paso doble” yourself on the central square. And Saturday the whole village gathers on the banks of the river to eat paella. It is a unique moment to experience a real authentic Spanish fiesta in the countryside.
The best period to see Spanish fiestas is summer.
